To reduce drop-out rates in the compliance-heavy process of adding Paybilt as a Shopify payment option, I aimed to make each step feel tangible and material.

Internal research greatly influenced my approach. The compliance team relayed the regulatory needs, the CS team explained frequent user issues, and Sales explained the intended perception of the brand. This culminated in a user flow:

I selected a new colour palette based around Paybilt’s signature purple, and designed new skeuomorphic assets for selections and progress.

Supplemental Emails

Communications in tandem with the user flow keep merchants in the loop of where they are in the process. They’re designed to adhere to brand values, while conveying clarity and security.
